50 Years TMII, Minister Of Culture Fadli Zon The Best Pavilion Award Lestarikan Budaya
JAKARTA Minister of Culture Fadli Zon handed over Anugerah Pradana Nitya Budaya to the best regional platform as a form of appreciation for the contribution in preserving the archipelago culture. This appreciation is given in celebration of 50 Years TMII (Taman Mini Indonesia Indah).
The highlight of the celebration which was held on Saturday night, April 20, 2025, was attended by a number of Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, Special Staff of the President, regional heads, culturalists, artists, traditional leaders, and thousands of people from all over Indonesia. TMII brought the atmosphere to life with the "Nusantara People's Party" through performance arts, traditional dances, regional music, special culinary, and cross-cultural performances.
"For 50 years, TMII has become a cultural storefront for the archipelago of art performances, cultural exhibitions, and cross-generational education programs. TMII continues to transform into an inclusive and global competitive cultural promotion center," said Fadli Zon in a written statement received Monday, April 21.
He emphasized that TMII is not just a tourist destination, but a miniature of Indonesia that shows cultural wealth from Sabang to Merauke. The initial idea of Mrs. Tien Soeharto to present Indonesia in one cultural park is still relevant to this day.
At this historic moment, the Ministry of Culture together with TMII for the first time awarded the TMII Award 'Pradana Nitya Budaya TMII Award', the highest award for regional platforms that are considered the most prominent in cultural conservation. The favorite winner of the people's choice fell on the East Kalimantan Pavilion. Meanwhile, the jury version of the Best Pavilion award was awarded to three regions: South Kalimantan Anjungan won the first place; followed by the Bali Pavilion as the second winner; and the East Java Pavilion which won the third place.

The name of this award is taken from the Sanskrit language, Pradana which means "mainly", and Nitya which means "badi". This illustrates the determination of cultural preservation in a sustainable manner.
According to Fadli Zon, every platform at TMII is not just a building, but a stage of cultural pride, where noble values are inherited between generations.
These bridges have become cultural ambassadors who introduce customs, arts, clothing, and local wisdom from each region. TMII is the guardian of Indonesia's diversity mozaik," he said.
He hopes that TMII will continue to be a symbol of unity in diversity, as well as a proud educational and recreational space for future generations.
