Thousands Of Participants Participate In The Film Film For The Scientific Faction Of Foufo In Surabaya

SURABAYA - An unusual casting event occurred in Surabaya for a science fiction film entitled "Foufo". The film, directed by Bayu Skak, held a casting in the city of Surabaya on Sunday, April 20.

"The enthusiasm of the friends who took part in the casting today. Participants came from various regions in East Java, such as Probolinggo, Lumajang, to Banyuwangi," said Deputy Mayor of Surabaya Armuji, who attended the selection process for the cast of the film "Foufo" quoting ANTARA.

"This is a golden opportunity for the younger generation to show off their abilities in the world of cinema," said Armuji, who will be one of the actors in the film.

Armuji said that the city government supports efforts to make local films.

"The Surabaya City Government certainly fully supports it, especially since the story raises the nuances of East Java and Madura," he said.

The film "Foufo" tells a story about UFOs who make emergency landings and are found by three Madurese.

Actor and director Bayu Skak said that the dialogue in the film "Foufo" would use Madura.

"Madura has a unique and strong regional language. In this film, I want to show authenticity. So, if the accent is Madura, the dialogue must also use Madura," he said.

Bayu wants all the main characters of the new film to come from East Java. He will choose 18 people from all audition participants as the core actor.

"In Jakarta, casting sometimes sees followers first. If you are here, you don't care. The important thing is to be brave, total acting, and can bring character strongly," he said.

The shooting process for the film "Foufo" is planned to start in May 2025. Most of the shootings will be carried out in the North Surabaya area.
