Bandarlampung Open City Government Receives TPA Bakung Managing Investors
LAMPUNG - The Bandarlampung City Government (Pemkot), Lampung Province, said it was very open to accepting investors to manage the Bakung Final Processing Site (TPA) in Bandarlampung.
"We are very open to accepting investors to manage the Bakung TPA. So far there have been some field checks but there has been no follow-up," said Bandarlampung City Regional Secretary Iwan Gunawan in Bandarlampung, Antara, Sunday, April 20.
He also conveyed that the Bandarlampung City Government really welcomes the plan of the Lampung Provincial Government to participate in dealing with problems at the Bakung TPA.
"This means that the provincial government also does not remain silent. Maybe there will also be investors entering, of course this is very good," he said.
According to him, waste that enters the Bakung TPA up to about 800 tons per day can be processed into electrical energy, PLN fuel and fertilizer.
"Currently, the waste management at the Bakung TPA uses Controlled Landfill, which previously only used open dumping methods," he said.
Regarding the problem of lindi water (sandwater) at the Bakung TPA, Iwan Gunawan said that when the Bandarlampung City Government was perfecting its processing system.

"So this lindi water, water from the garbage enters the pool. The exit is clean when it enters the drainage. Currently in the refinement stage (so that it gets better). So that this water is really safe," he said.
