Deputy Governor Threatens To Forcibly Pull Vehicles Owned By The West Sulawesi Provincial Government
MAMUJU - Deputy Governor of West Sulawesi Salim S Mengga threatened to make forced efforts to take the official vehicle (randis) belonging to the West Sulawesi Provincial Government which has not been returned.
"We will take forced withdrawal steps by mobilizing Satpol PP officers because we did not heed the advice that had been issued previously," said Salim Mengga, in Mamuju, Saturday.
Based on the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) since 2023, 16 cars and 27 motorcycles belonging to the West Sulawesi Provincial Government have been declared missing.
The West Sulawesi Provincial Government then gave a deadline until April 18, 2025, all official vehicles must be returned.
However, until the deadline has been set, only 23 vehicles have been returned to the West Sulawesi Provincial Government in abnormal conditions so that there are still 20 official vehicles that have not been returned.
The official vehicle that has been returned in incomplete condition, said Salim Mengga, must be accounted for by the person who controls the vehicle.

"There is no reason for the official vehicle to be financed by itself, because what I know is that the maintenance costs of the official vehicle are carried out by each OPD, so, everything must return and those that are damaged must be accounted for by the authorities," he said.
He also emphasized that the West Sulawesi Provincial Government's official vehicles should not be controlled by individuals, except through the correct procedures.
Ownership of the official vehicle must be in accordance with the correct procedure. So, if it is not in accordance with the procedure, the official vehicle must not be controlled by the individual," said Salim Mengga.
In addition to carrying out forced efforts, the Deputy Governor also emphasized that he would announce the names that controlled and had not returned the official vehicle belonging to the West Sulawesi Provincial Government.
"We will announce the names that control and have not returned official vehicles until the time limit we have given them," said Salim Mengga.
