Police Visit Teachers Who Are Suspected Of Obscenity At The Tulungagung Islamic Boarding School

TULUNGAGUNG - Allegations of immoral acts at a Tulungagung Islamic boarding school have disturbed local residents. They also reported to the authorities for immediate investigation. The Tulungagung Police Satreskrim also responded and went to a Koran teacher with the initials AIA (26).

Tulungagung Police Chief AKBP Mohammad Taat Resdi explained on Friday that the report was received after one of the students' parents complained that his son had changed behavior after returning from the hut.

Through the family approach, the victim then revealed the alleged sexual abuse he experienced.

"As soon as we received the report, we immediately conducted an investigation and coordinated with the very cooperative Islamic boarding school," said the Police Chief quoting ANTARA, April 18.

The officers then traced the whereabouts of the alleged perpetrator, who was known to be on his way back to the hut after returning to his hometown.

On Thursday morning, AIA was secured by the Women and Children Protection Unit (UPPA) of the Tulungagung Police Satreskrim to undergo an examination.

From the results of the preliminary examination, AIA admitted his actions.

The police are still investigating the statements of the victims and conducting psychological assessments of the alleged perpetrators as part of the investigation process.

"We are handling this case professionally and thoroughly, in order to protect the rights of victims and prevent similar cases," said the Police Chief.
