Russia Shoots Falls Dozens Of Ukrainian Drones In Six Areas Overnight
JAKARTA - Russia's air defense system destroyed or intercepted 71 Ukrainian unmanned aircraft in six regions of the country overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
Most of the drones, about 49 drones, were shot down in Kursk, while others in Oryol, Ryazan, Bryansk, Vladimir and Tula areas.
In a statement posted on Telegram, Russia's Ivanovo regional authority, which is east of Moscow, said Ukraine's drone had attacked Shuya City, but there were no casualties or damage.
This is Shuya's second straight night, which is about 1,150 km (715 miles) from the Ukrainian border, was attacked.
The city became the site of the Russian missile brigade base to blame Ukraine for the attack on the city of Sumy on Sunday that killed at least 35 people.
The Russian Telegram channel spread a video showing the base being attacked, and at least one fire broke out at its location.
Reuters was unable to verify the footage.
