Music Parade And Presented Cultural Arts At The 75th Anniversary Of Indonesian-Russia Diplomacy
JAKARTA - A series of art performances colored the 75th anniversary of Indonesia's diplomatic relations with Russia. The event, which was held at Ciputra Artpreneur Jakarta, was also lively with a variety of presented cultures.
Indonesian traditional arts such as gamelan, Balinese traditional dance, and sajan dance which have been included in the UNESCO unobject cultural heritage list were featured at the concert.
In addition, Indonesian soloist Farman Purnama performed singing the songs "Come on Mama" and "Panon Hideung" with the State Academic Russian Choir MI Pyatnitsky choir group.
In the concert, State Academic Russian Choir ME Pyatnitsky also performed several typical Russian songs and an Indonesian song entitled "Rayuan Pulau Kelapa", while the State Academic Honored Dance Ensemble of Dagestan Lezginka performed traditional Russian dances.

Deputy Minister of Culture Giring Ganesha said that Russian culture, including his works of art, music, and literature, is widely known throughout the world. Likewise with Indonesia's cultural wealth.
"Indonesia's tradition develops from a rich and dynamic environment. It consists of 17,000 islands, volcanic soil, vast oceans, and more than 700 regional languages. These elements create expressions such as music, dance, poetry, and theater," said Giring when opening the show, quoted from ANTARA, April 14.
He stated that culture can be a bridge for two countries to understand each other and that art can encourage the creation of world peace.
"With art, this collaboration not only brings cultural beauty, but also contributes to world peace by showing how dialogue and empathy can grow between countries," he said.
