Accidents And Congestion In Cipinang Gading, Bogor City Government Kaji Rekayasa Lalu
JAKARTA - The occurrence of a traffic accident involving several vehicles on the Cipinang Gading Pamoyan alternative route has become a serious alarm for the Bogor City Government to immediately adjust the flow of vehicles.
This incident worsened the condition of the road which was previously congested due to the cut of access on Jalan Salah Danasasmita, Batutuli Village, South Bogor, due to landslides.
Responding to this situation, the Bogor City Government together with the Bogor City Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) are finalizing a traffic engineering study on the BNR Cipinang Gading Pamoyanan route as the main alternative.
Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Jenal Mutaqin, explained on Sunday in Bogor that the implementation of the One-way System (SSA) is in the discussion stage, although there are still rejections from some city transportation entrepreneurs.
"Indeed, there are still rejections, especially from angkot entrepreneurs who have complained about the decline in revenue since the landslide occurred in Batutulis," said Jenal.

However, he stressed that the increase in the volume of vehicles on the route cannot be ignored. The congestion that occurs, especially in the Cipinang Gading and Pabuaran areas, is getting worse due to the meeting of vehicles from the opposite direction.
"If this condition is allowed to happen, the traffic jam will get worse because four-wheeled vehicles continue to meet at a tight point," he added.
The traffic engineering plan prepared by the Traffic Unit will be implemented on a limited basis, not for 24 hours in full. The one-way system will only apply during peak hours, namely 04.00 a.m. local time from the Pamoyanan direction to BNR, and at 16.00 p.m. local time for the opposite direction.
The operating hours were chosen due to the high activity of residents in the morning and evening, such as departures to schools, workplaces, and business activities.
"The government continues to open spaces for dialogue. We will accommodate the aspirations of angkot drivers and transportation cooperatives such as KKSU. Hopefully, they can also contribute to finding the best solution so that traffic conditions do not become more chaotic," explained Jenal.
