BAC 2025: Jafar/Felisha Hajar Unggulan Ketiga Untuk Pijaki Semifinal

JAKARTA Mixed doubles Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu beat third seed Goh Soon Huat/Lai Shevon Jemie to reach the semifinals of the 2025 Badminton Asia Championships (BAC).

Jafar/Felisha secured the first ticket for Indonesia with a straight two games 21-15 and 21-11 wins over the Malaysian representative at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium on Friday, April 11, 2025.

"Praise God, I am very grateful that the results we have won or lost are the best. We also always try our best," said Fekha in the statement.

Goh/Lai are the second seed doubles to be stopped by Jafar/Felisha in this tournament. They previously beat seventh seed Chen Xing/Zhang Chi from China in the first half.

Jafar/Felisha will definitely meet again in the semifinals, Saturday, April 12, 2025, namely the pair Hiroki Midorikawa/Natsu Saito (seeded eight from Japan) or Feng Yan Zhe/Huang Dong Ping (two advantages from China).

"Today we can play well, cleanly, can control the game and strategy."

"We want to keep going. We are not satisfied. If we can continue, don't lose," said Fekha.

Jafar/Felisha are one of seven Indonesian representatives who have penetrated the last eight. In the mixed doubles sector, they advanced with Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari.

Unfortunately, Rinov/Pitha's journey did not continue into the semifinals. The pair lost against host first seed Jiang Zhen Bang/Wei Ya Xin.
