Minister Of Manpower Yassierli: Complaints About Late THR-Not Paid Down 30 Percent This Year
JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli claims that complaints about companies that are late or do not pay the holiday allowance (THR) this year have decreased compared to 2024.
Yassierli said that his party was still processing the company's reports that were late and did not pay the THR. For that, he did not want to mention the details of the total late company and did not pay the THR this year.
However, he emphasized that his party continues to monitor reports related to this matter every day.
"THR on going. What is clear is that this year's report compared to last year's substantive reduction, yes, 30 percent. That must be noted," said Yassierli when met by reporters at the Wisma Mandiri office, Jakarta, Thursday, April 10.
According to him, this is a good signal because more and more companies pay THR. Yassierli said the less reports received, the better the level of company compliance.
"Yes, it means that the company's compliance with THR is better. If there are fewer reports, it means that compliance will improve," he said.
The former chairman of the Indonesian Ergonomic Association (PEI) emphasized that companies that are late in paying THR are subject to a 5 percent fine of the total THR that must be paid by the company. This is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower (Permenaker) Number 6 of 2016 in article 10.
"Yes, (the company) was late (the THR paid was fined) 5 percent was clear, there were already regulations. Then later, right, there was an inspection note. That's what we will follow later until the end is a recommendation (administrative sanctions)," he said.
Meanwhile, the Director General of Industrial Relations and Social Security for Manpower of the Ministry of Manpower, Indah Anggoro Putri, explained that the imposition of sanctions was carried out in stages.
He said administrative sanctions were gradually in the form of written warnings, restrictions on business activities, temporary suspension of part or all of the production equipment to freezing business activities.
"Earlier, right, the Minister (Yassierli) said that gradually he did not immediately give written sanctions," he added.
Previously, the Ministry of Manpower noted that 1,536 companies had been reported by workers/laborers regarding the issue of disbursing THR for the Lebaran 2025 period.
