Getting Approval From The Minister Of Public Works, The Kuala Tanjung-Indrapura Toll Road Will Soon Be Arbitrary

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Marga Waskita (Hamawas) announced that the Kuala Tanjung "Tebing Tinggi" Parapat (Kutepat) Section 2 Kuala Tanjung 'Interchange Indrapura will be charged a tariff in the near future.

This follows the issuance of the Decree of the Minister of Public Works (Kepmen PU) Number 329 of 2025 concerning the Determination of Vehicle Groups and Tariffs for Kutepat Toll Road section 2 Kuala Tanjung' Interchange Indrapura which was issued on March 4, 2025.

"After being operated without tariffs to support smooth traffic during the 2025 Eid homecoming and reverse flow, PT Hamawas will soon impose a tariff on the Kuala Tanjung Toll Road "High Cliff" Parapat (Kutepat) Section 2 Kuala Tanjung "Interchange Indrapura," said Hamawas President Director Dindin Solakhuddin in a written statement, Thursday, April 10.

Prior to operation, the Kuala Tanjung Indrapura Toll Road had gone through a series of Functional and Operational Feasibility Tests (ULFO) and obtained a Functional and Operational Feasibility Certificate (SLFO) on January 31, 2025.

The ULFO process involves a thorough examination from the Ministry of Public Works (PU), the Ministry of Transportation and the Indonesian Police, and is fully supported by the Hamawas project team which ensures that all aspects of safety and operation are fulfilled properly.

In addition, during the operation without tariffs, road users were quite enthusiastic in using the 10.15 kilometer Kuala Tanjung'Interchange Indrapura Toll Road with a total accumulation of 19806 passing vehicles.

"Hamawas has provided massive socialization of various aspects, ranging from good and correct driving procedures on toll roads, the use of electronic money cards, profiles and facilities as well as the benefits and strategic roles of toll roads carried out through various communication channels," he said.
