Four Million People Have Registered The Pre-Employment Card Program

JAKARTA - Since the government opened the registration for the Pre-employment card program on April 11. Four million people have registered, through the site www.prakerja.go.id.

Denni Puspa Purbasari, Executive Director of Implementing Management for the Pre-Employment Card Program, said that the government has targeted the number of participants in this program to be 5.6 million. That way, the remaining quota is around 1.6 million more people.

"Of the 4 million registrants, 1 million have joined the first batch of registration," Denni said in a press conference at Graha BNPB, East Jakarta, Tuesday, April 14.

Denni said, the next wave will be opened next week. Each batch is open every week, from Monday-Thursday from 08.00 WIB to 16.00 WIB. All stages of registration will only be done online via the official website.

The initial target of President Joko Widodo's Pre-Employment Card program was the workforce. However, currently Indonesia is being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the current Pre-Work Card program targets are workers, job seekers, and small and micro business actors who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

As for the stages, after registering and verifying the data. Participants in the pre-work card program will be tested for basic skills and motivation according to the desired job platform.

"The type of training you want is available. Until today, there are 900 types of training available on 8 digital platforms. Please, colleagues, to compare the prices of the packages available and then whether it is what you want to learn," he said. .

Participants in the pre-employment card program will receive intensive training assistance totaling IDR 3.5 million per person. Denni explained that the funds received will be distributed in stages, including training assistance costs of IDR 1 million, then incentives for completing training for four months amounting to IDR 2.4 million, and post-filling incentives for evaluation surveys three times of IDR 150 thousand.

The funds will be provided via bank transfer, or digital payments such as OVO, GoPay and LinkAja. "This incentive money is expected to become a social safety net that will ease the burden on ladies and gentlemen. Please use it to its best," he explained.
