Subhanallah, The Leicester Vs Crystal Palace Match Was Stopped For A Moment To Give Fofana The Opportunity To Break His Fast
JAKARTA - On Monday night, Leicester City took a big step towards qualifying for the Champions League next season. Brendan Rodgers' men came from a goal down to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at the King Power Stadium. This means, The Foxes are now seven points ahead of fifth-place West Ham.
Kelechi Iheanacho who was on fire scored a stunning winner in the 80th minute after Timoty Castagne equalized Wilfried Zaha's first-half goal.
That is still far from Leicester's best performance this season. However, they were still the better team that night and deserved the three points.
Apart from Ihenacho, there are other players who deserve the spotlight. Young center-back Wesley Fofana was able to play the full 90 minutes after being replaced in the match against West Brom last weekend in the 62nd minute.
Rodgers' withdrawal from the field on the occasion was to allow him to break his fast. As a devout Muslim, this French player continues to fast in Ramadan.

As for the match against Palace, the Leicester defender broke his fast in the 34th minute. The match was deliberately stopped for a while to give Fofana a chance to drink on the sidelines.
The ability of French men to play to a high standard while adhering to the Islamic tradition of fasting during the holy month deserves much praise.
After the victory over West Brom, Rodgers praised Fofana's performance both in training and on the playing field during the Ramadan period.
"It's incredible. If you think about his performance over the weekend in the FA Cup semi-final, where he hasn't eaten all day and then he tasted the first meal with 15 minutes remaining, and then the same today, with kick-off at 8 pm, he didn't eat all day or drink and he could still come up to that level," said the Leicester boss, according to Leicester Mercury.
"I have worked with many players with devotion to their faith and for many, it gives them strength. He found tremendous strength to continue playing and training during Ramadan. He is a special talent and a big player for us," concluded the coach.
