JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid received a visit from French Foreign Trade Minister Laurent Saint-Martin and French Citizens Abroad in a bilateral meeting.

During the meeting, Meutya appreciated the cooperation with the French Government and French multinational companies in completing the construction of the National Data Center 1 (PDN-1) project.

After laying the first stone (groundbreaking) in October 2022, the construction of PDN-1 has been completed and has been carried out by the Provisional Hand Over (PHO).

In order to maintain the security and reliability of PDN-1, the Ministry of Komdigi is also collaborating with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS), and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) as an effort to ensure data protection and integrity.

The close relationship between the Government of Indonesia and the Government of France, especially in the field of digital technology, is clear evidence of the commitment of the two countries to support and encourage innovation, with solid collaboration. Meutya said in her official broadcast.

With longstanding good relations, both parties hope to explore more opportunities for cooperation, ensuring that the benefits of technology and innovation can be felt by people in both countries.

France and Indonesia have a strong history in building mutually beneficial relationships. We believe that cooperation in the digital field will strengthen the exchange of knowledge and innovation that can bring benefits to the people of the two countries. said Saint-Martin.
