Full Year 2024 Performance Soars, Surya Biru Murni Acetylene Sets High Target In 2025

JAKARTA - PT Surya Biru Murni Acetylene Tbk (SBMA) throughout 2024 managed to record a surge in net profit of up to 182.24 percent to Rp13.35 billion compared to the period in 2023 of Rp4.73 billion. So that SBMA's basic profit per share rose to 14.37 from the previous 5.09.

Referring to the SBMA financial report data submitted on the IDX information disclosure page, the Company managed to sell up to Rp131.67 billion last year, up 16.14 percent from 2023 which was only Rp113.36 billion.

Product revenue still dominates at IDR 126.96 billion and service income at IDR 4.71 billion. The types of products with the highest sales were Acetylene IDR 36.49 billion, oxygen IDR 33.04 billion, Argon IDR 16.37 billion, Nitrogen IDR 16.30 billion, Carbon dioxide IDR 7.02 billion and Mixed Gas IDR 17.71 billion.

Rini Dwiyanti, President Director of SBMA, said that the company's performance grew rapidly thanks to the strengthening of realized infrastructure during 2024 where the company has succeeded in realizing various strategic plans that have been prepared in the previous year as part of efforts to increase operational capacity and services to customers.

One of the main achievements is the purchase of 3,500 new cylinders with a capacity of 6m3, there are also 150 new VGL with a capacity of 175 liters and 5 new iso tanks with a capacity of 20m3. All of these components aim to ensure the availability of more stable gas supply and meet the growing market needs," said Rini, in his statement, Thursday, April 10.

In order to strengthen the distribution fleet, the Company has also added four units of Lorry Tanks that will be used in large quantities of liquid gas transportation more efficiently and safely. The presence of the fleet is expected to increase operational flexibility and accelerate the delivery process to various regions, so that services to customers are more optimal.

In order to expedite the distribution process and increase the delivery range, the Company has also added nine new trucks. With the addition of the fleet, the Company is increasingly ready to reach more customers and ensure gas distribution runs smoothly and on time.

Strengthening these infrastructures not only contributes to optimizing services, but also opens wider business opportunities. With increasingly solid operational capabilities, the Company has succeeded in gaining more trust from business partners, which are marked by obtaining new contracts and extending old contracts through addendums. This reflects the Company's commitment to maintaining the best service standards, improving distribution efficiency, and ensuring the sustainability of energy supply for customers.

Meanwhile, Julianto Setyoadji as Director of Operations expressed his view for 2025, more optimistic because the company's new market is growing as the government's target of downstreaming the industrial area of Kalimantan Industrial Park Indonesia (KIPI) and developing green energy related to hydropower in the Kaltara Region.

"The trust of customers is extraordinary, in the Mining (Batu Bara), Oil & Gas (Will operate RDMP) and Plantation which develops throughout the Kalimantan Region. Application technology is developing with the use of Plant Gas Industry and Special Gas products," said Julianto.

SBMA in 2024, managed to control the cost of revenue at Rp62.15 billion or only slightly from the previous year's Rp59.72 billion. So that gross profit rose 29.59 percent to Rp69.51 billion from Rp53.64 billion.

The general and administrative expenses in 2024 were recorded at Rp49.37 billion, interest and financial expenses of Rp3.04 billion and other income of Rp141.23 billion. So that profit before income tax rose 126.41 percent to Rp17.23 billion from Rp7.61 billion. The tax obligation used by PT Surya Biru Murni Acetylene Tbk (SBMA) for state revenue reached Rp3.87 billion.

In terms of balance sheet, SBMA has total assets as of December 31, 2024, worth Rp289.97 billion, up percent from the previous year's Rp276.17 billion. The increase in the company's assets due to equity which rose to Rp227.89 billion from Rp215.44 billion and liabilities at Rp62 billion. For other financial positions that should be watched out for are cash and banks owned by Surya Biru Murni Acetylene (SBMA) at the end of last year which jumped to Ro10.42 billion from the previous Rp4.75 billion.
