City Supporters In Jakarta, Makassar, Lamongan And Sampit Distribute Takjil From Gundogan

JAKARTA - The Manchester City supporter group in Indonesia, Manchester City Supporters Club Indonesia (MCSCI), distributed 3,000 takjil (Ramadhan snack) packages supported by their favorite club midfielder Ilkay Gundogan in four cities namely Jakarta, Makassar, Lamongan and Sampit.

The activity was a follow-up to virtual communication between MCSCI and Gundogan before the start of the month of Ramadan, as quoted from the official statement received by Antara, Wednesday.

"At first I thought we had a meeting with his representatives. However, it turned out that Gundogan himself joined the meeting," said MCSCI Chairman Endry Waluyo.

"He said, 'I have a Ramadan program to distribute iftar food (iftar-ed) in Jakarta. Please help with this activity, yes. The rest you can communicate with my manager'," he added.

Endry continued, the takjil donation from Gundogan was generally given to people on the side of the road.

However, on other occasions, the food was also brought to the village, social foundations, and orphanages.

Apart from takjil, food intended for the community also includes sahur food.

"We are also continuing this food distribution program according to the mandate from Gundogan," said Endry.

MCSCI also thanked Gundogan for his attention and wished this Turkish-blooded Muslim a successful career.

"Hopefully this goodness will be a blessing for him. In every program we always wish him success and of course for the Manchester City team," said Endry.
