Support NASA, Bangladesh Officially Joins The Artemis Agreement
JAKARTA Bangladesh officially signed the Artemis Agreement on April 8. Thanks to the country's support, the lunar exploration mission initiated by NASA is now supported by 54 countries.
The Artemis Agreement is a written contract stating that a country agrees to support the Artemis program. The program is designed to explore the moon by landing the next human being to the natural satellite.
The signing of the contract was carried out in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, and was attended by the Minister of Defense of Bangladesh, Ashraf Uddin, andmanfaat Jacobson, the US Embassy Authority in Dhaka. NASA administrator Janet Petro is reportedly unable to attend.
Petro also gave a short speech in the form of a video to welcome Bangladesh' participation. In his speech, Petro said that this partnership was very helpful for NASA in shaping the future of space exploration.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh's Chief Advisor, Muhammad Yunus, who attended the signing ceremony of the Artemis Agreement, said that this latest partnership is very important to his country. This is because Artemis can become the foundation for sustainable exploration.
Bangladesh's commitment to the Artemis Agreement will increase the country's involvement with NASA and the international community, Yunus said. By signing the agreement, Bangladesh builds an important foundation for open, responsible, and peaceful space exploration.
