Eid Holiday, Ragunan Animal Park Record 472 Thousand Visitors

JAKARTA - The 1446 Hijri Lebaran holiday period is used by the people of Jakarta to visit various tourist destinations, one of which is the Ragunan Wildlife Park in South Jakarta. During the holiday period from D+1 to D+7 Lebaran, this tourist spot recorded a significant increase in visits.

Head of Public Relations of Ragunan Wildlife Park, Wahyudi Bambang, said that the total number of visitors during the Lebaran holiday reached 472,000 people.

"This figure shows the enthusiasm of residents for Ragunan as a family tourist destination," he said in Jakarta, Monday, as quoted by ANTARA.

On the last day of the holiday, namely this Monday, the number of visitors reached 17,000 people. Of the total, about 1,054 people bought tickets online, while the rest bought direct tickets at the location.

In addition to recording the number of tourists, the management also monitors vehicles entering the tourist area. It was recorded that 2,114 motorcycles, 951 cars, five buses, and 55 bicycles entered the Ragunan area that day.

Wahyudi also mentioned that special areas such as the Schmutzer Primata Center were visited by 614 people, while the Children's Animal Park attracted 239 visitors. "We still prioritize animal comfort and health, even though there are no special holidays for them during this holiday season," he said.

According to him, animals still receive maximum care, including intake of vitamins and quality food, to ensure their condition remains prime when watched by visitors.

Previously, from D+1 to D+6 Lebaran, the number of visits had exceeded 455,000 people. The peak of the visit occurred on Wednesday (2/4) with the number of tourists reaching more than 102,000 people in one day.

A visitor named Intan admitted that he chose to come on the last day of the Eid holiday so that the atmosphere would not be too crowded. "The entry fee is very affordable, children can also learn about various kinds of animals," he said.

Ragunan remains a favorite destination for the community, especially during the holiday season or weekend. To add to the appeal, Ragunan presents a number of interesting activities such as educational talk managers guided by animal nurses as well as feed time attractions for animals such as elephants, Komodo dragons, complexities, tigers, and giraffes.
