US-China Trade War Chronology: Warming Up Again In Trump's Era Volume Two
JAKARTA - The tariff war between the United States (US) and China is heating up again after US President Donald Trump again imposed a massive import rate. In response to the move, China announced a return fee for all imported products from the US.
China announced its reply rate on Friday April 4, which will take effect from Thursday 10 April with the same amount as Trump's new tariff on products from China of 34%.
In addition to tariffs, China also announced restrictions on the export of rare earth metals, essential materials for technology and clean energy, filing a lawsuit against the US to the World Trade Organization (WTO), suspending imports of sorghum, poultry, andbonemeal from a number of US companies, to adding 27 US companies to the list of restricted trade entities.
