Jokowi Invites Indonesian People To Unite Against Terrorism In Today's Memory, April 1, 2021
JAKARTA Memories of today, four years ago, April 1, 2021, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) invited all Indonesian people to unite against terrorism. Jokowi expressed this invitation as a form of commitment to no place for terrorism in Indonesia.
Previously, the Indonesian people were shocked by the action of a mysterious woman who was known to have the initials ZA - came to the National Police Headquarters with a firearm. The woman came to the guard post and pointed a gun at the officer. The action of a mysterious woman was then paralyzed.
Terror acts cannot be underestimated. Terrorism sometimes threatens many things. State sovereignty can even be disrupted. This condition makes the government work hard to be able to uncover terrorism networks that want to carry out actions in Indonesia.
Problems arise. Not all terror plans can be detected by the security forces. Take for example the acts of terror carried out by a mysterious woman to the National Police Headquarters on March 31, 2021. The woman wearing a blue headscarf and carrying a yellow folder appears to be walking towards the guard post.
The woman took out a firearm. Security forces who guarded immediately took firm action. The woman was paralyzed by gunfire. The act of terror carried a stir.
The Indonesian people criticized the acts of terror that occurred. Various speculations related to acts of terror have also emerged. Experts suspect that a mysterious woman who commits terror is not affiliated with an existing terrorist network called a lone wolf.
The woman is considered to be working alone. This means that the acts of terror carried out tend to be something that rarely happens in Indonesia - lone wolf and by women too. However, the Police were asked to continue to be vigilant.
They must also not be missed and do not treat mysterious female acts of terror like ordinary terror. The National Police also needs to understand more about the acts of terrorism carried out by women.
"Don't (consider this case) as an ordinary thing. Because in Indonesianone wolf is still something that is a bit rare. So I don't agree 100 percent with what Pak Boy Rafli said that women are too weak and so on. Maybe some of it, but we also see that women want to get a more active role on their own," said terrorism observer Sidney Jones as quoted by the CNN Indonesia page, April 1, 2021.
The action of a mysterious woman who tried to attack the National Police Headquarters reached the vicinity of President Jokowi. President Jokowi also condemned the attack on April 1, 2021. He then invited all Indonesian people to unite against terrorism.
The invitation is considered effective so that the chain of terrorism spread in the archipelago can be pushed back. Jokowi did not remain silent. He immediately ordered his staff to seriously fight terror. He has ordered the National Police Chief, TNI Commander, and the Head of BIN to increase vigilance.
"I ask all people throughout the country to remain calm, but remain vigilant and maintain unity and we unite against terrorism. I emphasize once again that there is no place for terrorism in the country," said Jokowi as quoted by the ANTARA page, April 1, 2021.
