No Longer Awakening For Sahur, This Is How To Improve Sleep Patterns That Come After Ramadan

JAKARTA - During the month of Ramanda, many Muslims in the country experience changes in their sleep patterns because they have to wake up early in the morning to do suhoor. There are some people who often stay up late waiting for sahur and causing a messy sleep pattern.

After Lebaran, the messy sleep pattern should be improved so as not to interfere with health in the future. Here are some ways to improve a messy sleep pattern after Lebaran, quoted from Healthshots, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

1. Active in the morning and afternoon

When praying and fasting, they are usually reluctant to do many activities, especially during the day. After Eid, it is important to actively carry out activities in the morning and during the day, so that the body feels tired and can sleep on time at night.

Sleeping on time at night is important to do to restore a healthy sleep pattern. It will also make you sleep in sufficient time and will feel fresh when you wake up in the morning.

2. Sleep again if you wake up early in the morning

The habit of doing sahur allows the body to automatically wake up before 3 am. If you experience this after Eid, try to go straight back to sleep and not play with your cellphone, because it can raise awareness.

Get used to getting up at 5 a.m. every day. The body usually takes about a week to adapt, until finally getting used to getting back up 5 a.m., instead of the time of fasting.

3. Avoid eating before bedtime

Eating especially at night before bedtime is not recommended to be done. This can make the stomach stoppage and uncomfortable.

Eating at bedtime can also make the digestive system more active and make the body awake and can't even sleep. This of course will interfere with quality and sleep, which has a profound impact on the day and health activities of the body.
