Not Accepting Being Accused Of Stealing Chicken Is The Reason The Man In Mataram Abused His Neighbor To Death
MATARAM - Mataram City Police, West Nusa Tenggara, arrested a resident with the initials M, the alleged perpetrator of the persecution that resulted in the death toll.
"We picked him up at his house and now we have secured him," said Head of Jatanras Satreskrim Mataram Police Iptu Ahmad Taufik in Mataram, Antara, Wednesday, March 26.
The legal process against M now leads to the alleged violation of Article 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code concerning persecution which resulted in the victim's death.
"According to Article 351 paragraph (3), the penalty is 7 years in prison," he said.
The victim whose identity was not identified was M's neighbor in Kekalik Gerisak, Sekarbela District, Mataram City.
The victim died after undergoing medical treatment for 10 days at the hospital since the incident that took place on Saturday, March 15 evening.
The alleged perpetrator said he was desperate to persecute him by hitting the victim in the head using hot iron for being accused of stealing chickens.
"The hot iron is usually used by residents to clean the tofu combustion stove," he said.
Before carrying out the persecution, the alleged perpetrator admitted that he was involved in an argument with the victim who accused him of stealing chickens.

After the incident, the victim and the alleged perpetrator agreed not to continue their problem to the realm of law.
However, after learning that the victim died as a result of the incident, the family reported it to the police.
