CONTAINDER Waste Management Startup Officially Partners With SUCOFINDO
JAKARTA - CONTAINDER, an innovative startup in the field of waste management with AI technology, officially established a strategic partnership with PT SUCOFINDO (Persero), a leading inspection and certification company in Indonesia to carry out waste management and reducing carbon trading from reducing plastic waste.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was carried out by Budi Utomo, as Director of Industrial Services for SUCOFINDO, and Billy Mambrasar, CEO & Founder OF CONTAINDER, at the Head Office, Graha Sucofindo, Jakarta, Monday, March 24.
This partnership marks an important milestone for CONTAINDER as the only startup in waste management, designated as SUCOFINDO's partner for plastic waste collection and management services, which are then converted and certified by SUCOFINDO, to a reduced amount of CO2 (Carbon Offset) from the management of the plastic waste. The CO2 will then be traded on national and international carbon exchanges.
"This partnership shows SUCOFINDO's enthusiasm in providing sustainable waste management solutions in Indonesia, transparently and technology-based, in line with SUCOFINDO's vision of supporting green industries and sustainable business practices in Indonesia," said Budi Utomo, who continues to strive to develop Sucofindo's derivative businesses and always succeeds.
Budi also added that CONTAINDER will help become a bridge between SUCOFINDO and other plastic waste management companies, which want to run the same model business.
"If other plastic collection and management companies want to also trade carbon generated from waste through SUCOFINDO verification, they can go through CONTAINDER which will help," said Budi.
Budi Utomo added that SUCOFINDO is committed to supporting innovation in the waste management sector, and collaboration with CONTAINDER is a real step in realizing a circular economy and sustainable development.
Meanwhile, SUCOFINDO and CONTAINDER have officially cooperated, although indirectly, since 2022, although the signing of the MOU will only be carried out in 2025.
