Anthony Joshua's Forced Injury Out Of Eight Weeks
JAKARTA Former world heavyweight champion twice from England, Anthony Joshua, will be out of the ring for at least eight weeks due to injury as he undergoes training.
Joshua has been absent from fighting since losing knockout (KO) against Daniel Dubois in September 2024. He has plans against Tyson Fury, but this latest injury makes the duel definitely have to be delayed.
Fury is currently retired, thwarting a big fight plan with Joshua. Then the rematch with Dubois was also postponed because the British IBF champion targeted a heavyweight unification against Oleksandr Usyk.
However, Frank Warren as promoter of Fury and Dubois, gave a clear signal regarding the duel plans. He said Joshua should focus on recovering before returning for a big duel.

"I understand that something happened (with his injury). For him, no need to rush, he's already there."
"He will decide for himself what he wants to do," Warren said in a statement from Sky Sport.
Warren said they were very open to accepting Joshua's wishes. However, all decisions are in the hands of the 35-year-old fighter.
"We made this fight happen. All I know is whatever they suggest to him (Joshua), the majority of the heavyweights support us," he said.
Warren is also working closely with a number of heavyweight competitors such as Joseph Parker, interim WBO champion, Agit Kabayel, and WBC interim champion Fabio Wardley, who is preparing for the WBA title fight.
Joshua's chances of winning a world title could arise as Usyk hints he will retire after two more fights.
However, at this age, Joshua faced questions about the sustainability of his successful career.
The result of fighting Dubois in his last duel was one of Joshua's total four defeats during his career. Before that, he lost twice against Usyk and fought Andy Ruiz once.
