Support MSMEs, West Aceh Allows Sales Of Eid Cakes On The Roadside
ACEH BARAT - There is something interesting about the West Aceh Regency Government for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), now there is a dispensation to sell Eid cakes on the Meulaboh National Road, precisely around malls and shops.
"We will give an exception because this trader has ordered cakes at a price of tens of millions of rupiah, if they do not sell they will have a big loss," said West Aceh Regent Tarmizi to reporters in West Aceh, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, March 22.
According to existing regulations, the National Road section, precisely in the city center of Meulaboh, West Aceh Regency, is indeed prohibited from selling cakes ahead of Eid al-Fitr, because it can cause congestion on the highway.
As a result of this problem, there is often a commotion every year between motorized vehicle drivers and cake traders, thus triggering fights and fights among the public.
Although he has appealed not to sell cakes in prohibited locations, by issuing a call with Forkompimda West Aceh, the Regent of Tarmizi rules to sell cakes to get exemptions this year.
"That was what happened earlier, we (the government) in the regions did not want the community's economy to lose, sorry for the community, especially if this is a holiday," he said.

After conducting a review and dialogue with traders, the Regent of West Aceh Tarmizi allowed the traders to sell cakes before the arrival of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri.
However, after selling the cake, his party asked traders to dismantle the stalls that had been established so as not to interfere with the flow of traffic.
Tarmizi emphasized that starting on Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri until beyond, the location should no longer be used to sell Eid cakes.
