Much PR, Charles Gozali Realizes Qodrat 2 Movies Are Bigger And More Exciting

JAKARTA - Three years since the first film, Charles Gozali made Qodrat 2 under the umbrella of Magma Entertainment and Rapi Films. Still played by Vino G. Bastian, Ustaz Qodrat's journey this time continues with a number of new characters.

"I feel grateful because I know that many love Qodrat like Magma loves Qodrat," said Charles Gozali as the director at a press conference in South Jakarta on Friday, March 21.

"This second Qodrat film has extraordinary challenges but I am grateful that many are willing to face this challenge from Mr. Sunil, Rapi, Mr. Gope, especially it is extraordinary to give moral and material blessing," said Linda Gozali as one of the producers.

The challenge of making this sequel not only develops stories but also how to develop more interesting techniques from the first film. Charles revealed that the production team made 28 special sets for the sequel.

The challenge of presenting a sequel must be bigger, better, more exciting than the first and this challenge is realized because it is supported by other friends such as CGI. There are 28 sets built specifically for this film. Kang Cecep and Jonathan Ozo also help for choreography," Charles said again.

In terms of writers, Ophtara Antariksa felt he had to balance the characterization of Qodrat, played by Vino G. Bastian and Azizah, played by Acha Septriasa.

The first thing we thought about was Qodrat and Azizah had the same faith test, namely when they lost Alif. We found that Azizah was in the same space and house but was tested for faith," he explained.

"The first Qodrat PR is a moral value that surrenders to Allah, by surrendering he is sincere when his son dies, then the moral value that we attach to the second is tobat and we attach it to Azizah's character. Instead, the character arc here is not Qodrat but Azizah," he continued.

Charles felt that Qodrat 2 was present not only to develop the horror genre but also to be a hope for the existence of this iconic character.

"Qodrat is a symbol of hope for us to be better. In his story, he has the ability that is one of the characteristics in the character. Azizah comes with everything she does, so he even asks the devil," said Charles Gozali.

Qodrat 2 tells the story of Qodrat (Vino G. Bastian) who meets Azizah (Acha Septriasa), his wife who is now working in a textile factory. It turned out that his wife had a struggle for faith when she was disturbed by Zhadhug and Qodrat had to fight those who tried to disturb his wife.
