21 Foreigners Without Official Identity In Garut Will Be Deported By Tasikmalaya Immigration

JAKARTA - The Tasikmalaya Non-TPI Immigration Office stated that as many as 21 foreign nationals (foreigners) do not have official identities in Garut are threatened with immigration administrative action in the form of deportation from Indonesian territory. Their names will also be included in the prevention and silting list.

"While waiting for the deportation to take place, the 21 foreigners were placed in the detention room of the Tasikmalaya Immigration Office first, which will then be moved to the immigration detention house until waiting for the deportation to be carried out," said Head of the Tasikmalaya Indra Nobility Immigration Office in a statement received in Jakarta, Friday, March 21, quoted by Antara.

He explained that the security for 21 foreigners without official identities started from information obtained by the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Section (Inteljakim) of the Tasikmalaya Immigration Office from the Cibalong Police, Garut Regency.

On Friday, March 14, the Inteljakim of the Tasikmalaya Immigration Office visited the Cibalong Police to confirm further. From the results of the examination, the male foreigners claimed to be from Bangladesh.

"This is reinforced, one of them shows a Bangladesh passport," said Indra.

The existence of these 21 foreigners began with a resident's report on Thursday, March 13, that a group of men who were escorted by a travel car was found and wanted to stay at an inn at Karang Paranje Beach, Karyasari Village, Cibalong District, Garut Regency, West Java.

When asked for an identity by the inn, they could not show their identity. Therefore, the inn took the initiative to report the matter to the Cibalong Police.

According to Indra, the actions of the 21 foreigners have the potential to violate Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

"We are committed to continuing to supervise the existence and activities of foreigners in order to enforce immigration law in Indonesia. We do not hesitate to take firm action against immigration violations in Indonesia," he said.

Furthermore, the Head of the Tasikmalaya Immigration Office ensures that only qualified foreigners can live and carry out activities in Indonesia. This is so that people are not harmed by foreigners who do not obey the rules or have the potential to endanger order and sovereignty.

"We also continue to urge the public to continue to play an active role in monitoring the whereabouts and activities of foreigners in the vicinity," said Indra.
