Watching The Demonstration Against The TNI Law, The Ojol Driver Was Beaten By A Number Of Police, Forced To Claim To Be A Student

JAKARTA - An online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) named Raka (22) became a victim of beatings by a number of Brimobs during a forced disbandment in front of the DPR RI building, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 20, evening.

Raka explained that at first he was seeing demonstrations against the TNI Law at the DPR RI Building. Raka, who was not far from the flyover, was suddenly approached by a number of officers in brown uniforms wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) carrying batons, forcing him to claim to be a student. In fact, according to Raka's confession, he was only an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) who had not received an order.

"I'm in the ranks of Kang (Kopi) Jago. I'm buying food. You're a student, right? That's it. I'm not sir. It all came right away. I was immediately forced to say that I'm a student. Yes, I'm silent. Just keep quiet," Raka said when met, Thursday, March 20, evening.

He said a number of police officers hit him with a bat on his head.

"About 20 members, almost. Kicked and pocketed. I covered myself, curled up. If I wasn't like this, I would have been hit by a big one. (The one who beat) Brimob. Not the PJR police," he said.

As a result of the incident, Raka admitted that he had suffered injuries to his head. However, he admitted that he was resigned and did not want to prolong the problem.

"Head. My hands are safe. But at most abrasions. Yes, holding the blow, a little bruises is okay," he said.
