Victims Fall, Mass Action Demonstration Rejects TNI Law Still Fighting

JAKARTA The demonstration against the TNI Law at the DPR RI Building, Thursday, March 20 night was chaotic. Students and other elements faced the officers guarding the DPR RI Building. Victims from the demonstrators fell after clashes with the apparat.

Monitoring at the location, clashes occurred after the masses managed to break into the fence of the DPR RI Building with a strong force. Since then, the masses have started to enter the courtyard of the DPR RI Building, but the apparat who have been on guard immediately sprayed water canons at the students.

Recorded by the VOI camera, a number of students were carried by their colleagues because they were injured. The ambulance could not accommodate all the victims who fell.

It is not yet known how many victims were in this clash, because the demonstration against the TNI Law is still ongoing and is heating up.
