List Of 14 Institutions That Active Soldiers Can Fill In The TNI Bill On Plenary Results

YOGYAKARTA - Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas explained, there are as many as 14 ministries/agencies that can be filled by active Indonesian National Army (TNI) soldiers. This was said by Supratman when delivering an update regarding the revision of Law (UU) Number 34 of 2004 concerning the TNI. One of the points discussed in the revision of the TNI Law is the authority of active soldiers to occupy positions in ministries/agencies outside the TNI. So what are the list of 14 institutions that can be filled with active soldiers in the TNI Bill?

Before this was agreed, the government and the House of Representatives (DPR) compiled a regulation allowing TNI soldiers to actively fill positions in 16 ministries/agencies. The decrease in the number of institutions occupied by active TNI soldiers occurred after several agencies were combined with their meanings and removed from the list.

Supratman explained that the ministries/institutions that were united in the revision of the TNI Law were agencies in charge of defense, the National Defense Council, the Ministry of State Secretariat, and the Presidential Military Secretary.

"Because the defense and the National Defense Council one time like the Minister of State Secretary will also be able to hold the Presidential Military Secretary together," he said.

Separately, Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the House of Representatives Dave Laksono revealed that one agency was removed from the revision of the TNI Law, namely the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP). This was explained by Dave after attending a meeting on the revision of the TNI Law at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday (18/3/2025).

"Yes, so nothing. I forgot (the number), what is certain is that there is no KKP," explained Dave as quoted by Antara, Tuesday (18/3/2025).
