Temanggung Police Detains Mercon Drug Sellers During COD With Buyers

TemanGGung - Temanggung Resort Police (Polres) detained a seller of firecracker drugs with the initials RK (36), a resident of Kupen village, Pringsurat, Temanggung Regency, Central Java.

"The suspect controls, brings, has in his property, and keeps and will sell fireworks," said Head of the Temanggung Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Didik Tri Wibowo in Temanggung, Antara, Wednesday, March 19.

RK was arrested by officers starting from the patrol of the Temanggung Police Resmob Team on Wednesday, March 5 at 18.30 WIB then in Kranggan District.

The officer then received information that in Subterminal Kranggan there had been a sale and purchase transaction of explosives or fireworks drugs.

The fireworks drug, he said, would be sold to other people by means of on-site payments or cash on delivery (COD). The officer then secured the perpetrator and evidence weighing 5 kilograms of firecracker drugs.

Based on the perpetrator's statement, his party carried out an investigation at the suspect's house, then officers found a drug weighing 9.15 kilograms. Thus, the total medicine weighing 14.15 kilograms.

For this incident, officers secured the perpetrators and evidence and made a police report for further processing.

In this case, the suspect was charged with Article 1 paragraph (1) of Law Number 12 of 1951 concerning criminal acts of anyone without the right to enter, make, receive, try to obtain, hand over, control, carry, have supplies, store, transport, hide, use, or issue firearms, munitions, or explosives to Indonesia.

"The threat of a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Didik Tri Wibowo.
