Meet Prabowo At The Palace, Palestinian Envoy Submits Letter From Mahmoud Abbas

JAKARTA - Advisor to the President of the Palestinian Authority for Religious Affairs as well as the Highest Sharia Judge in the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Al-Habbash held a meeting with President Prabowo Subianto to deliver a special letter from the President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas.

Al-Habbash, after an hour-long meeting with President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 18.

He said President Abbas highlighted the close relationship between Indonesia and Palestine as well as the current condition in Palestine which was getting worse due to Israeli aggression.

"We have the honor of today to visit the President of Indonesia. We sent a special letter from the President of Palestine, President Mahmoud Abbas, to the President of Indonesia," he said, confiscated by Antara.

At the meeting which was also attended by the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia Zuhair Al-Shun, Al-Habbash explained the actual situation in Palestine and the relationship between the two countries, including Indonesia's full support for Palestinian rights.

He said that Indonesia is one of the countries that consistently defends Palestinian independence amidst global instability.

Al-Habbash is also optimistic that under President Prabowo's leadership, Indonesia will continue to play a strategic role in the Palestinian struggle.

"We believe that the Indonesian government will continue to support Palestine in achieving freedom and independence," he said.
