Google Changes Gemini Live Interface View On Beta Update

JAKARTA Gemini Live, a conversation feature in Google's big language model (LLM), is now getting the latest interface. Not many changes are seen on Gemini Live apart from the feature icon being minimized.

Animation or display during Gemini Live is active has not changed in the slightest. The look is still as dynamic as before. The only change you can see is the description of the omitted icon.

Previously, the size of the icon was quite large with a round background. The first icon is a feature for Jeda, while the second red icon is a feature to access conversations.

From the screen display shared by 9to5google, it can be seen that the icon shape is no longer round, but a rectangle with a round end. Therefore, the shape looks smaller than before.

The loss of the iconic caption also affects the size of the animation seen on the screen. In the latest Gemini version, the animation looks longer. The placement of the icon is still the same, which is in the middle of the screen.

This changing interface is visible in the Gemini 16.10 update and is only available in beta. Users can view an updated version of Gemini Live once Google launches it in a more stable version.

It seems that the size of the icon is changed because Google will launch another feature supported by Project Astra, which is the ability to speak while opening a video camera or sharing screen. When these two features appear, users will see four icons on Gemini Live.
