Sarinah Predicts Sales To Increase By 20 Percent In The 2025 Eid Period

JAKARTA - PT Sarinah predicts sales at its department stores will increase by 20 percent during the Lebaran 2025 holiday period.
The increase in sales occurred for clothes, especially Muslim clothing, to souvenirs.
Sarinah's President Director, Fetty Kwartati, said that traffic and transactions had the highest increase starting from the second week of Ramadan.
"It's in mid-March 17th until before Eid," said Fetty in Sarinah, Jakarta, Monday, March 17.
Furthermore, Fetty said, during the Ramadan period and before Eid al-Fitr or Lebaran 2025, clothes, especially Muslim clothing, were targeted by the community.
"Besides Ramadan or Eid, the difference is 20 percent. And the highest category or what is widely purchased by people in Ramadan is clothes, Lebaran clothes," he said.
Not only clothing, Fetty revealed that the sale of food, souvenirs, and so on for Eid parcels or hampers also increased.
And also food or goodies that are for gifting. So giving each other a gimmick, then also sending each other food, drinks, or cakes, that's what dominates other than clothes, "explained Fetty.
On the other hand, Fetty is optimistic that the implementation of work from anywhere (WFA) will not have a negative impact on Sarinah.
Even so, he said, the WFA policy was not liked by all retail business actors, because it was feared that it would reduce the traffic of mall visitors in big cities.

For your information, the government has officially decided to implement the WFA policy for state civil servants (ASN) from March 24 to March 27.
"Usually in the Ramadan seasons there are many ngbuburit events, many events gather together, so even though WFA, the ngbuburit part still leaves or goes outside. And that's the opportunity we take with many restaurants in Sarinah," said Fetty.
