Man's Body Found Rotting In Rented At Natuna Riau Islands, Duga Police Are Sick
JAKARTA - The body of a man was found rotting in his rented house in Ranai Darat, East Bunguran District, Natuna, Riau Islands, (Kepri), Monday 17 March. The Natuna Police together with Basarnas evacuated.
The head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) of the Natuna Police, Iptu Richie Putra, said that the discovery of a corpse with the initials M from Balikpapan, East Kalimantan began with reports from local residents who smelled an unpleasant odor and saw many flies around the victim's rented house.
"The body has rotted and is estimated to have died for more than two days," he said in Natuna, confiscated by Antara.
He explained that his party together with the head of the local RT had difficulty entering the victim's rented house because it was locked.
"We will carry out further investigations," he said.

The body was then taken to the hospital using a hearse, for further examination.
"It is suspected that the victim died due to illness, because we found drugs in the vicinity," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of KPP Natuna, Abdul Rahman, said that his party had deployed four personnel to assist the evacuation process.
"We are always ready to help evacuate bodies if needed," he said.
Head of RT 02 RW 03 Ranai Darat Village, Nur Hardiansyah, said that the victim was known as a good and friendly person to local residents.
"I received a report from a friend who was suspicious because the victim did not open the door, then we and the police opened the door of the house," he said.
