Publishing The Gubernatorial Regulation, Dedi Mulyadi Prohibited The Transfer Of Land Functions To Rivers In West Java
West Java (Jabar) Governor Dedi Mulyadi issued a Governor Regulation or Pergub which prohibits the conversion of land functions throughout West Java Province in order to prevent flooding and maintain food self-sufficiency.
"The Governor of West Java issued a governor regulation prohibiting the conversion of land functions throughout West Java Province, land that uses forest areas, conversion of plantation areas, conversion of rice fields, conversion of lakes, and conversion of river functions," said Dedi Mulyadi in Jakarta, Monday, March 17, quoted by Antara.
This governor's regulation, he continued, will affect all regulations in West Java Province and later all areas will have an impact on increasing hand productivity.
Dedi said that behind the flood management there were efforts to deal with food security.
This is because the effect of the river at the end is agricultural area, and the impact of agricultural areas ends up being rice productivity.
Thus, the West Java Provincial Government seeks to restore the function of rivers, the function of lakes or lakes, and also restore the function of swamps properly.

Dedi hopes that the West Java Representative Audit Agency (BPK) will participate in conducting an audit of land conversion in West Java, be it by countries such as Perhutani, PTPN, or other parties.
According to Dedi, the conversion of land functions haphazardly can result in considerable state losses. When a disaster caused by land transfer comes, the state automatically recovers.
He mentioned that there are many dimensions that suffer losses due to land conversion, the first is losses due to the loss of carbon and springs, then disaster, and the transfer of this function causes losses to the state.
Dedi said the state issued a sum of money, both provincial/regency/city APBN/APBD, which of course had implications for decreasing government spending for other public sectors.
