Banjarmasin Police Implement SIM Extension Period Until April 15

BANJARMASIN - The Traffic Unit of the Banjarmasin Police, the South Kalimantan Police, has implemented a period limit for managing the extension of the driving license (SIM) until April 15, 2025.

"We provide this extension in the context of national holidays and collective leave," said Head of Public Relations of the Banjarmasin Police, Ipda Sunarmo in Banjarmasin, Antara, Sunday, March 16.

Sunarmo said that on March 28 to 29, 2025, there was a national holiday facing Nyepi Day Saka1947 New Year.

Then, continued with collective leave in the framework of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri from March 31 to April 7, 2025.

For this reason, said the Head of Public Relations, for SIM holders whose validity period expires from March 28 to April 7, 2025, they can extend it from April 8 to April 15, 2025.

"So, for SIM holders, you don't have to worry if the validity license is expired during holidays, so you can still take care of the extension when at the grace period that has been given with the applicable extension mechanism," he said.

Ipda Sunarmo also reminded motorcyclists if they do not extend their driver's license at that time, they will carry out the issuance of a new SIM.

"Please hold the driver's license to extend the period given. If not, then after the grace period, a new SIM is applied," he said.
