Prevent The Buildup Of Travelers Destination Madura, Fast Boats Operate 2 Times A Day At Situbondo Port
The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has prepared an 8B Maritime Express Vessel to prevent the accumulation of travelers to the islands of Sumenep Regency, Madura, at Janger Port, Situbondo Regency, East Java (East Java).
Head of the Class IV Port Authority (KSOP) Panarukan Harbormaster and Port Authority (KSOP) Office, Situbondo, Herlan Aprilyanto said the additional ship would be maximized by traveling twice a day.
"The capacity of the Bahari 8B Express Ship is 364 passengers and will be maximized by making two crossing trips, going home and going to unravel travelers at Jangkar Port," he said in Situbondo, Sunday, March 16, which was confiscated by Antara.
Through the Director General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, said Herlan, this fast boat also provides free tickets for ships to help the people of the islands during their homecoming and return to the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah.
"For free tickets, the quota is limited. Therefore, we urge travelers to immediately access free homecoming tickets through the official application for online ticket purchases," he said.

Herlan said the number of travelers from the Madura islands, especially residents of Raas Island, is estimated to increase by 20 percent who will go home this year compared to last year.
"This year's distribution coincides with Nyepi Day in Bali. Last year there were around 37,000 people who went home, dominated by residents of Raas Island," said Herlan.
The schedule for the departure of the fast boat will begin today, March 16, 2025, to Raas Island. Furthermore, the ship departed on March 18, 2025, to Raas Island and Sapudi Island. On March 24, 2025, the fast ship will depart with the destination of Raas Island.
