OTT KPK In OKU Sumsel Regarding Bribe Of PUPR Project

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra on Saturday, March 15. The team secured a number of people during the silent operation.

Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Fitroh Rochahhyanto, said that the silent operation was carried out by the KPK in investigating the alleged bribery case on the OKU Regency Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) project.

"The PUPR Service project bribes," Fitroh told reporters, Sunday, March 16.

Currently, the parties caught by the KPK OTT are being investigated by investigators. However, Fitroh has not detailed who the parties referred to and their role in this case are. What is clear is that LPK also secured money worth Rp. 2.6 billion from the OTT.

Previously, eight officials in OKU Regency who were caught by the KPK OTT were taken to Palembang by land and then flown to Jakarta for further processing.

OKU Police Chief AKBP Imam Zamroni said that the officials were dispatched at around 22.30 WIB by the KPK investigating team.

"Yes, last night at around 22.30 WIB they were immediately taken by the KPK investigating team to Palembang to be flown to Jakarta to undergo further investigation," said Imam Zamroni, Sunday, March 16.

The eight people caught by OTT consisted of Nov, Head of the OKU PUPR Service, three members of the OKU DPRD, namely FE from PDIP, FA from Hanura, and UM from PPP, as well as three ASN within the local office and a contractor. After undergoing examination by KPK investigators at the OKU Police Headquarters, they were dispatched using seven cars to Palembang before being flown to Jakarta.

"This KPK group will go directly to Palembang and will then depart for Jakarta," said the OKU Police Chief.

In addition to arresting these officials, the KPK also secured a sum of money as evidence in this OTT, which was also brought for further processing.

The police chief added that KPK investigators plan to return to Baturaja, OKU Regency, on Monday, March 17, 2025, to conduct a search at the OKU PUPR Service Office.
