The United States (USGS) Geological Survey reported that a Mexican earthquake occurred near the city of San Miguel Achiutla at a depth of 64 km (40 miles).
Reported by Reuters on Saturday, March 15, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum told X no damage was reported. Meanwhile, the governor of Oaxaca said the emergency protocol had been activated.
The earthquake triggered a seismic alarm in the City of Mexico, which made residents have rushed to the streets.
