For The Smooth Running Of Eid, Minister Of Transportation Dudy Affirms SKB That Goods Transport Will Not Be Revised
JAKARTA - Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhy emphasized that the Joint Decree (SKB) regarding regulation of freight transportation will not be revised. This is for the sake of smooth and safety of homecoming flow and the return of Eid al-Fitr 2025/1446 Hijriah.
"I think if we revise it again, what will be the way to go later. I will return it to the media to try, what will happen?", said the Minister of Transportation quoting Antara.
The Minister of Transportation responded to the national strike action plan that would be carried out by truck entrepreneurs, who are members of the Indonesian Truck Entrepreneurs Association (Aptrindo), on March 20, 2025 in response to the arrangement.
Dudy reminded that policy revisions could be risky and have a negative impact on traffic conditions that may occur if the regulation is changed during Eid transportation.
He emphasized that these provisions are to ensure that travelers can return to their hometowns safely and comfortably without being constrained by congestion or other disturbances during the trip.
Nevertheless, he acknowledged that not all parties agreed to the policies implemented, including goods transportation entrepreneurs, but the main focus remains on the smooth flow of homecoming and the best service for people who celebrate Eid.
"I want to make sure that these travelers return to their hometowns safely, comfortably avoid traffic jams, that's my hope," he said.
The government has prepared strict transportation arrangements, anticipating situations that could worsen road conditions if trucks continue to operate during the homecoming period.
The Minister of Transportation also mentioned the potential for death to occur on main routes if the truck continues to operate on toll roads, especially the Jakarta-Merek and Jakarta-Cikampek toll roads, during the Lebaran homecoming period.
"So not all parties are happy with this, but we want the community to be served well. Not all heads can be happy, but I want the community to be served," said the Minister of Transportation as well.

Despite the rejection from several parties, the Minister of Transportation hopes that the policy can be supported for the smooth running of Eid 2025 transportation and avoiding road problems during that period.
"If they want to support that, I am happy, meaning that it is part of their efforts to support this Lebaran transportation," added the Minister of Transportation.
Previously, news had spread about truck entrepreneurs who are members of the Indonesian Truck Entrepreneurs Association (Aptrindo) that they would carry out a national strike starting March 20.
The strike plan is contained in Aptrindo Circular Number 526/DPP APTRINDO/III/2025. The letter was signed by the Chairman of the DPP Indonesian Truck Entrepreneurs Association (Aptrindo) Gemilang Tarigan. The strike was carried out following the Ministry of Transportation's policy to prohibit them from crossing the toll road during Lebaran homecoming.
