600 Hectares Of Rice Fields Owned By Residents In Demak Flooded
JAKARTA - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) stated that a total of 600 hectares of rice fields owned by residents in Demak Regency, Central Java were flooded.
Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari said the flood was triggered by high-intensity rain that flushed the area early this morning.
"Four villages in Guntur District are the areas most affected by the flood disaster, including residents' rice fields," he said.
Based on data from the BPBD's rapid reaction team in Demak Regency, 600 hectares of flooded rice fields covered 200 hectares of rice fields in Bumiharjo Village, 250 hectares of rice fields in Tlogorejo Village, 50 hectares in Turitam Village, and 100 hectares in Trimulyo Village.

According to him, the number of residents affected by the flood is still in the process of collecting data by a joint team of officers on standby at the scene.
He ensured that the condition of the affected residents was the most prioritized thing for the local district government to continue to coordinate with BNPB, while carrying out efforts to recover the impact of disasters.
"BNPB asks local governments to immediately check the readiness of devices, personnel, and resources to deal with potential emergency," he said.
