Member Of Commission IX DPR: Ojol And Online Courier Deserve To Be Given THR
JAKARTA - Member of Commission IX of the House of Representatives Netty Prasetiyani Aher welcomed President Prabowo Subianto's appeal to application companies to provide holiday allowances (THR) aka holiday bonuses for online motorcycle taxis (ojol) and online couriers.
He considered that online ojol and courier should have been given THR.
"The president shows his side to application-based workers who have not received THR.THR for online ojol and courier drivers is a form of concern and appreciation that deserves to be given," said Netty, Friday, March 14.
According to Netty, online ojol and couriers have an important role in the digital economy and community mobility. Especially now that the community is dependent on the services of online ojol and couriers.
"Online ojol drivers and couriers have become an important part of people's lives. They work hard, face various challenges on the road, and continue to serve even in difficult situations," said Netty.
Therefore, the legislator from the West Java VIII electoral district also asked the applicator to fulfill the appeal from the Government. Although currently online ojol drivers and couriers are partners on digital platforms, said Netty, they also have workers' rights.
"I invite digital platform companies to make this appeal from the Government part of the sustainability policy in maintaining good relations with driver-partners and couriers," he said.
"Let's together create a fairer and more humane work ecosystem for all workers, including those in the informal sector such as ojol and online couriers," added Netty.
President Prabowo Subianto previously appealed to online transportation service companies to provide holiday bonuses (BHR) for online drivers and couriers.
Following up on the President's directive, the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) issued a Circular Letter of the Minister of Manpower (SE Menaker) Number M/3/HK.04.00/III/2025 concerning Providing Religious Holiday Bonuses for Drivers and Couriers at Application-Based Transportation Services.

Minister of Manpower Yassierli divided the provision of BHR into two categories, namely productive ojol and part-time ojol.
Productive Ojol is given by BHR with a calculation of 20 percent, while the amount for half-time ojol is handed over to the applicator company.
In the Circular Letter of the Minister of Manpower regarding the provision of holiday bonuses for online ojol drivers and couriers, it is explained that drivers and couriers who are productive and perform well are given a proportional holiday bonus (BHR) according to performance in the form of cash with a calculation of 20 percent of the average monthly net income over the past 12 months.
Meanwhile, online drivers and couriers outside the productive and performing category are both given holiday bonuses according to the ability of the applicator company.
The SE also arranged for BHR to be given no later than seven days before Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Transport Workers Union revealed the average income of ojol drivers of IDR 3 million per month.
By using the average income of ojol drivers submitted by SPAI, the BHR received by ojol drivers on Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah or Lebaran 2025 can be calculated with a formulation of 20% X, the average monthly net income for the last 12 months or 20% X IDR 3 million, the result of which is IDR 600,000.
Thus, application-based transportation service driver partners can receive a holiday bonus of IDR 600,000 if the monthly net income for the last 12 months is IDR 3 million.
