After four minutes of stoppage time announced the match officials, both Sevilla and Granada were surprised to hear the referee blow the whistle a minute earlier.
Granada's players surrounded referee De Burgos Bengoetxea, who after consulting with Antonio Mateu Lahoz in the VAR room, as well as other officials on the pitch, realized his mistake and asked the Sevilla players to return to the pitch.
However, many players have already left the field and taken off their socks and shoes.
"I have never seen anything like this. Some of our players have taken off their equipment," said Sevilla striker Ocampos at the end of the match.
"We have reached the club's first target (to finish in the top four) and now we have five games left, all of which are like finals. We are very motivated and very excited. Our hopes are still intact."
