Recalls Kabinda Papua Brigadier General Putu Danny, Doni Monardo: A Brave And Patriot Figure

JAKARTA - The head of the Papua Regional Intelligence Agency (Kabinda) Brig. Gen. I Gusti Putu Danny Nugraha Karya was shot dead by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Beoga, Puncak Regency, Papua, Sunday, April 25.

This son of Bali, who has had a long career at the Special Forces Command (Kopassus), has a special impression on the Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Lt. Gen. Doni Monardo.

"I felt lost because Putu Danny was one of the officers who served me for a long time in various assignment areas," recalled Doni Monardo when he visited the funeral home in the Cijantung area, East Jakarta, Sunday, April 25 evening.

"The deceased is a brave figure, a patriot and willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of his duties wherever he is," continued the 27th Kopassus Commander.

He said that the loss of Brigadier General I Gusti Putu Danny was a big loss for the TNI and the Army, and especially for Kopassus.

Because Putu Danny's knowledge and skills in various fields in the military are enormous. All of us are sorry. Hopefully the deceased will have the best place in the side of Almighty God, I hope the family who is left behind will be given courage," he concluded.

The plan is for the body of Brigadier General TNI I Gusti Putu Danny to be evacuated from Beoga, Papua on Monday 26 April, to be flown to Jakarta.

"Currently the body is still in Beoga, while we are still monitoring it. The plan is that tomorrow (today) we will evacuate it," said the XVII/Cenderawasih Regional Military Commander who was also the deceased's senior at Kopassus, Maj. Gen. Ignatius Yogo Triyono.

Information obtained was that the evacuation would be carried out using Caracal Helicopters and Smart Aviation Planes which were ready on Monday, April 26 at around 6 am east Indonesia time. Departure depends on the weather.

Timika's estimated trip to Beoga is around 30 minutes. The pickup will be accompanied by Brigadier General Joni Triman and Lettu Ckm Dr. Habibi Tanjung.

It is estimated that the bodies will arrive in Timika at 07.30 east Indonesia time, for later cleaning of the bodies at Mitra Masyarakat Hospital, Timika. At 12.55 east Indonesia time, the bodies will be dispatched by using a Batik Air plane and arrive in Jakarta at around 15:25 west Indonesia time accompanied by Maj. Gen. Afinibur and Lieutenant Colonel Andriono.
