The KPK Will Investigate The Reason Bank BJB Installs Ads That Are Finally Corrupted

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said investigators would explore the reasons why PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) posted advertisements.

This was conveyed by the Director of Investigation Budi Sokmo when describing five suspects in the corruption case of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) on Thursday, March 13. One of those charged in this case is the former Director of Bank BJB Yuddy Renaldi.

"If the advertisements are advertisements for and specifically for Bank BJB. We convey this formally, yes, from the formal data we found," Budi said as quoted from the Indonesian KPK YouTube, Friday, March 14.

"However, in fact, we have not clarified whether it is true that it is specifically for BJB advertisements, to advertise their (product, red) so that they can be more famous or for other purposes, we will deepen this," continued Budi.

In addition, investigators will also explore whether or not the advertisements that have been paid have been installed in the media. Budi said the steps were taken to shed light on the case and ensnare other parties suspected of being involved.

As for advertising, Bank BJB cooperates with six agencies, namely PT Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama (CKSB), PT Cipta Karya Mandiri Bersama (CKMB), PT Antedja Muliatama (AM), PT Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri (CKM), PT Wahana Semesta Bandung Ekspres (WSBE), and PT BSC Advertising.

"So this is only in accordance with the formal evidence, from the receipts paid by BJB compared to the receipts paid by the agency to the media. Materialally, whether it was issued by the media, we will deepen later in the investigation process," said the head of the task force (kasatgas). the investigation.

Previously reported, the KPK named five suspects for alleged corruption in the placement of advertisements for PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) for the period 2021-2023. They are former President Director of Bank BJB Yuddy Renaldi and Head of Bank BJB Corporate Secretary Division Widi Hartoto.

Then he was also named a suspect from the private sector, namely the Controlling Agency of Antedja Muliatama and Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri Kin Asikin Dulmanan; Controlling the BSC Administration Agency and PT Wahana Semesta Bandung Express (WSBE) Suhendrik; and Controlling PT Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama (CKSB) and PT Cipta Karya Mandiri Bersama (CKMB) Raden Sophan Jaya Kusuma. The investigation warrant (sprindik) was issued on February 27, 2025.

Currently, the detention has not been carried out on five suspects. However, they have been prevented from traveling abroad for six months and can be extended as needed.
