Beware Of Security Risk Exposure, Immediately Update Your Firefox Application!

JAKARTA Mozilla warns its users to immediately update their Firefox application. The reason is, the root browser certificate will expire on March 14, 2025.

Before the certificate expires, Firefox app owners must update their application. Because, using Firefox with expired certificates can damage the add-on or extensions available in the application.

To be clear, this problem is quite serious because Firefox users with older versions of 128 (or ESR 115) will not be able to access their add-on. Therefore, users are asked to update the application before the problem occurs.

Apart from being inaccessible to add-on, Firefox will be a very vulnerable browser because it doesn't get a security update. Quoting from Makeuseof, Firefox won't even accept DRM-protected content.

This happens because the safety of the browser is not verified. In addition, the unrenewable Firefox will be out of date and increasingly vulnerable to security. Therefore, your app can be exposed to malicious add-ons or even certain web passwords can be broken.

To update the Firefox app, you just need to open the Menu, then tap on the Help part. After that, select the About Firefox option. You should see an update that should be installed.

If the update is available, you can immediately update the application. When the app has finished updating, you need to exit the app, then restart the app. That way, you will use a safer version of the app.
