West Java Governor Wants BPK To Audit The Transfer Function Of West Java Land

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi wants the West Java Representative Audit Agency (BPK) to participate in conducting an audit of land conversion in West Java, be it by countries such as Perhutani, PTPN, or other parties.

According to Dedi, the conversion of land functions haphazardly can result in considerable state losses. When a disaster caused by land transfer comes, the state automatically recovers.

"The government distributes basic necessities, repairs to affected houses, and so on," said Dedi as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 13.

Dedi said there were many dimensions that suffered losses due to land conversion, the first was losses due to the loss of carbon and springs, then disaster, and the transfer of this function caused losses to the state.

Dedi said the state issued a sum of money, both provincial/regency/city APBN/APBD, which of course had implications for decreasing government spending for other public sectors.

"The spending on disaster management is large, even though it can be spent on the interests of education, health, infrastructure or other public sectors. So for me, the conversion of land functions is not only aspects that affect ecology, but also the economic and financial ecosystem of the country," said Dedi.

The Head of BPK Representative for West Java, which on Thursday officially changed from Widhi Widayat to Eydu Oktain Panjaitan, through the handover of positions at the West Java Representative BPK Office, Bandung, based on Presidential Decree No. 43/TPA of 2025 concerning Dismissal and Appointment of and in Middle High Leadership Positions within the Supreme Audit Agency.

Followed by an excerpt from the Decree of the Secretary General of the Supreme Audit Agency No. 88/K/X.3/02/2025 concerning the Appointment of Transfer and Dismissal of the Primary High Leadership Position at the Implementation of the Supreme Audit Agency.

Based on the two letters, Widhi Widayat, now carries out the mandate as Director General of State Financial Audit for Region V BPK.

Head of V BPK Bobby Adhityo Rezaldi expressed his gratitude for the handover of the position today.

Bobby said that this handover was not just ceremonial, but essentially had an important meaning in order to maintain the continuity of the organizational function in the future.

"I give my appreciation to Mr. Widhi who has worked hard to build good communication networks with all development stakeholders in West Java," said Bobby.

Kepada Kepala BPK Perwakilan Jabar yang baru, Eydu Oktain Panjaitan, Bobby mengharapkan ada sinergi dengan seluruh kepala daerah baik di tingkat provinsi dan kabupaten/kota se-Jabar.

In line with the Governor, Bobby admitted that his party was ready to support existing policies in local governments.

"Because BPK must support government policies, whatever is being investigated is not the policy, but the derivative of policies which are policy programs. So it requires synergy and support from Mr/Mrs. so that our examination will have a significant impact," said Bobby.

Bobby also instructed the new Head of BPK to be able to run fast and work accelerated in line with the leadership of Governor Dedi Mulyadi or other regents/mayors in West Java.

"I think everything (regional heads in West Java) is running very fast. I hope the ranks of the BPK in West Java can also work faster and better than the previous period," he said.
