Facing The 2025 Eid Homecoming, The Minister Of Transportation Calls All Piers Turned Into Regular Classes
Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi said that all piers at Merak, Banten and Bakauheni Ports of South Lampung will be regular classes when the 2025 Eid homecoming flow takes place.
"Yes, all classes become regular classes. There is no temporary executive class, both in Bakauheni and Merak," said Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi in Bandarlampung, Thursday.
According to him, this is also one of the strategies to break up congestion that often occurs at the entrance when the volume of vehicles increases.
"We know that the previous executive class position was in front and often caused traffic jams, so for the time being there is no executive dock. All piers are the same so they are divided and evenly distributed," he said.

On the other hand, the Minister of Transportation said that in the 2025 homecoming flow, the government will prepare three ports in Lampung that can be used by travelers.
"The three ports are Bakauheni for private vehicles and buses, Bandar Bakau Jaya (BBJ) for heavy vehicles and Wika Beton for two-wheeled vehicles," he said.
Meanwhile, he continued, for Panjang Port, it will function when there is a high density of vehicles at Merak Port.
"Currently we are still prioritizing the three clusters that have been determined previously. If the three clusters are not adequate, the long port will be used," he said.
