Prodia Boss's Son, The Defendant In The Case Of Alleged Immorality, Thinks About File An Exception On The Prosecutor's Indictment

The defendant Arif Nugroho, son of Prodia and Muhammad Bayu Hartanto, considered the exception in the trial of alleged immoral cases at the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel).

"We first discussed and agreed that we are filing an exception or objection," said Prodia boss Pahala Manurung's attorney after the trial for reading the indictment at the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel), Jakarta, Wednesday, March 12, which was confiscated by Antara.

Pahala said that his party was given the opportunity to file an objection (exception) based on the interests of the client.

He did not deny that defense is in the interest of clients.

"That our client thinks or has a 'statement' (statement) that there is an objection to an inappropriate indictment," he said.

He could not provide further information such as the indictment because the trial was held behind closed doors.

The next trial will be held on Wednesday 19 March.

The South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel) held a trial for alleged immoral cases against the defendant Arif Nugroho, the children of high-ranking Prodia and Muhammad Bayu Hartanto in private.

This case contains the content of decency in the indictment, so that based on the provisions of Article 153 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Procedure Code the trial is held behind closed doors.

Article 153 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Procedure Code stipulates that examinations in court must be open to the public, except in cases regarding decency or child defendants.

Arif Nugroho and Muhammad Bayu Hartanto were named suspects in the murder and rape case of a girl with the initials FA (16) which occurred on April 22, 2024. The other survivors had the initials A.

At that time the victim did online (BO) prostitution with the two suspects. Then, the victim died after being fed inex and crystal methamphetamine.

This case was handled by the South Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim with the number LP/B/1181/IV/2024/SPKT/Polres Metro South Jakarta/Polda Metro Jaya on April 23, 2024.

In addition, this murder case re-emerged after the former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Bintoro, was dragged into extortion.
